Pollinator Park Tree Inventory

Now that we are in year three, most of the tiny forest trees have established in their tubes but some have not. We will be taking an inventory of what survived. This involves looking in the tree tubes to see if there is a tree or shrub within; if there is not, we will be removing the tube. Those with the ability to identify plantings will get a species count. The event runs 10am-2pm. Parking: on-street on Turkey Trot Road, opposite the bike lane. Want to carpool? New Britain Township Tree and Shrub Planting

Join us at North Branch Park to plant 150 native trees and shrubs in the seasonally-wet basin off West Fairwood Drive. NWA is running the planting alongside the New Britain Township Environmental Advisory Council, who secured the grant behind the project. Volunteers will set plants into pre-augered holes, then mulch, stake, and water each one, and can choose to work an assembly line cutting and installing the deer cages that protect young trees. No experience is needed and we will show you what to do. The basin is about an acre of open, full-sun ground with uneven footing, so dress for the weather. Please note this is a Thursday.

Community Comes Together for Rain Barrels

Buckingham Township's Environmental Advisory Commission partnered with NWA and Master Watershed Stewards of Bucks County to host a hands-on rain barrel workshop, educating residents on stormwater management and water conservation.

Growing Roots in the Community: WMA's Award-Winning Tree Planting Event

Warminster Municipal Authority's Fall 2024 Community Tree Planting Event brought together nearly 40 volunteers to plant close to 80 native trees and shrubs in key riparian areas, earning a PMAA Community Engagement Award.

Tree Plantings

Help restore riparian buffers by planting native trees and shrubs along stream banks. These events typically occur in spring and fall.

Stream Cleanups

Join fellow volunteers to remove trash and debris from our waterways. Bring the whole family for this hands-on conservation activity.

Water Quality Monitoring

Participate in community science by helping collect water samples and identify macroinvertebrates. Learn about stream ecology while contributing to important research.

Invasive Species Removal

Help remove invasive plants that threaten native ecosystems. We provide training on plant identification and proper removal techniques.

Educational Workshops

Attend presentations and workshops on watershed science, native plants, water conservation, and other environmental topics.

Rain Barrel Workshops

Learn how to install and maintain rain barrels to capture stormwater, reduce runoff, and conserve water for your garden and landscape.
